SimMan Supervised Practice – In Person Only

Hands-on supervised SimMan practice led by Dr Arfan, with live guidance and feedback throughout the session.

These sessions are designed to give candidates the opportunity to practise a range of SimMan stations in a supervised environment.

During the session, candidates will:

  • Practise a range of SimMan stations
  • Receive live guidance and feedback throughout
  • Practise using SimMan equipment
  • Improve structure, confidence and time management
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Ask questions and clarify any areas they are unsure about

Time: 09:30 AM – 06:00 PM
Break: 1 hour 30 minutes included
Group Size: Maximum 10 candidates per session

The session provides candidates with plenty of time to practise different SimMan stations, receive feedback and revisit areas they would like to improve.

Recommended Preparation

We highly recommend completing our SimMan Masterclass, preferably before attending the SimMan Supervised Practice session.

Highly recommend the Simman class, Simman supervised, Academy Access, and 16-station mock exam here. Dr. Arfan is a very good and knowledgeable lecturer. The Simman class will give you an overview of the different Simman scenarios, and I recommend taking this before the Simman supervised class. I also highly recommend the Simman supervised class, where you along with 4 other students take turns tackling mock Simman cases supervised by Dr. Arfan. After each mock case, he will give you personalized feedback on how you did and what you can improve on. He also gives personalized feedback on the 16-station mock exam, he will sit down with you after the exam and discuss how you fared and what can be improved. He was non-judgmental and supportive in his approach, and the feedback felt like a huge learning experience rather than a depressing roasting session. Best part is, it's all very affordable. Take note that the 16-station mock is a 1-room setup (you won't be going in and out of 16 rooms); Dr. Arfan is both the actor and examiner. All in all, I am very satisfied and happy with my experience. I failed my mock exam in NextStep with only 5 stations passed, but I passed PLAB 2 with 11 stations passed. Thank you!
