Guidance to Help You Get the Most From Your PLAB 2 Preparation

At NextStep UKMLA, we have found that many candidates benefit from having guidance alongside their practice. Sometimes it can be difficult to know whether you are practising in the right way, what areas you should be focusing on, or how best to prepare as your PLAB 2 exam approaches.

Our PLAB 2 Mentorship Programme has been introduced to give NextStep UKMLA students additional support and guidance throughout their preparation.

Meet Your Mentor

Your mentor is a former NextStep UKMLA student who prepared for her PLAB 2 exam with us and was taught directly by Dr Arfan.

She successfully passed PLAB 2 on her first attempt with excellent scores and understands first-hand the preparation, practice and challenges involved in getting ready for the exam.

Having recently been through the PLAB 2 journey herself, she can use her experience to help guide you through your own preparation.

How Can You Use Your Mentorship Session?

Your mentorship is flexible and can be used in whichever way will benefit your preparation the most.

You can use your session to:

• Go through PLAB 2 cases with your mentor
• Ask questions about areas you are unsure about
• Discuss stations or topics you are struggling with
• Get advice on how to structure your preparation
• Discuss what you should be focusing on during your practice
• Get guidance on how to make the most of your time at the academy
• Discuss your overall PLAB 2 preparation and approach

The session is designed around you and the areas where you feel you need the most guidance.

Mentorship Included With Academy Access

14-Day Academy Access — Includes 1 complimentary hour of online mentorship

28-Day Academy Access — Includes 2 complimentary hours of online mentorship

Where possible, we recommend completing your mentorship before starting your Academy Access. This gives you the opportunity to receive guidance, identify areas to work on and have a clearer idea of what you should be focusing on when you begin practising at the academy.

Booking Your Mentorship

Mentorship sessions are conducted online and must be booked in advance.

Once you have purchased your Academy Access, please contact our admin team to book your complimentary mentorship session.

Mentorship sessions are subject to available booking slots. During busy periods, slots may become fully booked, so we recommend booking your mentorship as early as possible and, where possible, before starting your Academy Access.

Further Mentorship

If you feel you would benefit from further support after using your complimentary mentorship, you can discuss additional mentorship sessions directly with your mentor.

Additional sessions are subject to availability and an additional charge.
